Book of 1 Corinthians - Chapter 1 - Verse 28

1:28
And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

Meaning

This verse highlights the idea that God often chooses the weak, foolish, and despised things of the world to accomplish His purposes. It serves as a reminder that God's ways are not always the ways of the world, and His methods may seem unconventional or unexpected to us. By using things that are not considered valuable or powerful by human standards, God demonstrates His power and sovereignty. Through this verse, we are encouraged to trust in God's wisdom and to not underestimate what He can do with the seemingly insignificant or despised aspects of our lives. Ultimately, God's purpose is to bring to nothing the things that the world values, showing that His ways are higher and His plans are beyond our understanding.
