Book of 1 Corinthians - Chapter 10 - Verse 20

10:20
But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

Meaning

In this verse, the Apostle Paul is cautioning the believers in Corinth against participating in pagan rituals and worship practices. He explains that when the Gentiles offer sacrifices, they are actually offering them to demons, not to the one true God. By engaging in these rituals, believers risk aligning themselves with evil forces and jeopardizing their relationship with God. Paul urges the Corinthians to distance themselves from anything associated with demonic worship and to instead focus on true worship of God. This verse serves as a reminder to Christians to be vigilant in guarding their faith and to reject any influence that could lead them away from the teachings of Jesus Christ. By staying faithful to God and avoiding fellowship with demons, believers can strengthen their relationship with Him and stay on the path of righteousness.
