Book of 1 Corinthians - Chapter 3 - Verse 1

3:1
And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

Meaning

The verse "And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ." is a reminder from the Apostle Paul to the Corinthian church that he had to address them as immature believers because of their spiritual immaturity and lack of understanding. In this verse, Paul is expressing his frustration that the Corinthians were still acting in worldly ways and had not yet grown in their faith to fully grasp the spiritual truths he wanted to share with them. By referring to them as "babes in Christ," Paul is highlighting their need for growth and maturity in their Christian walk. This verse serves as a call to the Corinthian believers to deepen their understanding of the faith and strive towards spiritual maturity in order to receive deeper teachings from Paul and ultimately grow closer to Christ.
