Meaning

In this verse from Acts 10:33, Cornelius is speaking to Peter after he had been instructed by an angel to send for Peter. Cornelius acknowledges the promptness of Peter's arrival and expresses gratitude for his presence. The phrase "Now therefore are we all here present before God" emphasizes the sacredness of the moment, as both Cornelius and Peter are gathered together in the presence of God. The purpose of their meeting is made clear - they are there to hear the words that God has commanded Peter to share with them. This verse highlights the importance of obedience to God's commands and the significance of coming together as believers to receive and listen to His word. It also underscores the idea that when we gather in the name of God, we are doing so in His presence, ready to receive His teachings and guidance.
