Book of Acts - Chapter 28 - Verse 15

28:15
And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage.

Meaning

In this verse from the book of Acts, Paul and his companions are on their way to Rome when they are met by fellow believers at two different locations, Appii Forum and The Three Taverns. These believers had heard of their journey and came out to greet them, providing encouragement and support to Paul as he faced the unknown in Rome. The fact that these brethren took the effort to travel such a distance to meet Paul and his companions shows the depth of their love and care for them. Paul's reaction upon seeing them was one of gratitude towards God and a renewed sense of courage. This moment serves as a powerful example of the importance of community and fellowship in the Christian faith, as well as the impact that support from fellow believers can have on one's spiritual journey. It reminds us that we are never alone in our faith, and that God uses the people around us to strengthen and uplift us along the way.
