Book of Daniel - Chapter 3 - Verse 28

3:28
Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

Meaning

When Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, spoke these words, he was acknowledging the power and authority of the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. The three men had refused to worship the golden image the king had set up, despite the threat of being thrown into a fiery furnace. Through their unwavering faith and trust in God, they were delivered by an angel sent by God. This display of divine intervention not only saved their lives but also changed the king's decree and demonstrated the supremacy of the one true God. By refusing to bow down to any other god but their own, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego not only stood up for their beliefs but also inspired Nebuchadnezzar to praise their God for His miraculous deeds. This verse serves as a reminder of the importance of faith, trust, and loyalty to God, even in the face of adversity and persecution.
