29:2
And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;

Meaning

Here, Moses is addressing the people of Israel, reminding them of the miraculous events that occurred in Egypt at the hand of the Lord. He is calling on them to reflect on the power and might that the Lord displayed in freeing them from the bondage of Pharaoh. By recounting the plagues that were sent upon Egypt and the subsequent exodus of the Israelites, Moses is emphasizing the faithfulness of the Lord to his people and the importance of remembering these events as a testimony to his power. The verse serves as a reminder to the Israelites of their past deliverance and as a call to remain faithful to the Lord who had shown them such great mercy. It also serves as a lesson for future generations to remember and honor the deeds of the Lord on their behalf, reinforcing the importance of faith and obedience in the face of adversity.

Theological Overview

When Moses gathered all of Israel together to address them, he reminded them of the powerful acts that the LORD had performed in Egypt. This serves as a theological interpretation of the verse, highlighting the significance of God's mighty works in the context of the Israelites' history and relationship with Him. The word "all" emphasizes the completeness and totality of what the LORD did, leaving nothing hidden or unspecified. By calling attention to what the Israelites had witnessed with their own eyes, Moses sought to reinforce their faith and trust in the LORD's ability to deliver them from any situation. Additionally, the mention of Pharaoh and his servants indicates that God's power extends to even the highest rulers and authorities, demonstrating His sovereignty over all nations and peoples. In doing so, the verse serves to remind the Israelites of the LORD's faithfulness and the importance of bearing witness to His miraculous deeds.
