Book of Exodus - Chapter 23 - Verse 27

23:27
I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.

Meaning

The meaning of this verse is that God is promising to protect and deliver his people from their enemies. By sending his fear before them, God is instilling a sense of dread and awe in the hearts of those who would oppose his chosen people. This fear will lead to the destruction of all the people that they encounter on their journey. God assures them that all their enemies will be defeated and forced to retreat, turning their backs in defeat. This verse serves as a reminder of God's power and protection over his people, demonstrating his faithfulness in defeating their enemies and ensuring their safety. It is a promise of victory and deliverance for those who trust in God and rely on his strength in times of trouble.
