Blue, purple, and scarlet were colors associated with royalty and were used in the priests' clothing as well as in the curtains and coverings of the Tabernacle. Fine linen symbolized purity and righteousness. Goats' hair was used for the outer covering of the Tabernacle, representing protection and covering. Red skins of rams and badgers' skins were also used for various coverings and symbolized sacrifice and provision. Each of these materials was carefully chosen and offered by the people as a way to contribute to the construction of the Tabernacle, a place where they could worship and commune with God.
