Book of Ezekiel - Chapter 37 - Verse 2

37:2
And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

Meaning

This verse from Ezekiel 37:2 describes Ezekiel's vision of a valley filled with dry bones. In this vision, God caused Ezekiel to pass by these bones, and he saw that there were very many of them in the open valley. The bones being very dry symbolize a state of hopelessness, despair, and death. This vision can be interpreted as a representation of the nation of Israel in a state of spiritual death and desolation. The dry bones can be seen as a metaphor for the people of Israel who have lost hope and are in need of spiritual revival. Through this vision, God is showing Ezekiel the urgency of the situation and the need for divine intervention to bring about restoration and new life. It serves as a reminder of God's power to bring life to the dead and hope to the hopeless.
