Book of Galatians - Chapter 4 - Verse 6

4:6
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Meaning

Within this verse, the Apostle Paul is reminding the Galatians of the incredible privilege and status they now hold as children of God. By accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior, they have been adopted into God's family and are now considered sons and daughters of God. This relationship comes with the amazing gift of the Holy Spirit, who is referred to as the Spirit of His Son. This Spirit is not just any spirit, but the very essence of Jesus Christ Himself, living within the hearts of believers. The term "Abba, Father" is a profound expression of intimacy and closeness, as it translates to "Daddy" or "Father" in a more personal and affectionate way. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, believers can approach God with boldness, knowing that they have a loving and caring Father who desires to have a deep and personal relationship with them.
