And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again unto the well to draw water, and drew for all his camels.

Meaning

In this verse from the book of Genesis, we see the character Rebekah demonstrating an act of kindness and compassion. She is fulfilling a request made by Abraham's servant to provide water for his camels. The significance of this gesture goes beyond simply quenching the thirst of his animals; it reflects Rebekah's generosity and willingness to go above and beyond to help a stranger. The act of drawing water for all the camels is no small task, as camels are known to drink large amounts of water. Rebekah's willingness to exert herself in this way shows her hospitality and selflessness towards others. This verse serves as a powerful example of taking care of those in need, even when it requires effort and sacrifice. It highlights the importance of serving others and the value of practicing kindness towards strangers.
