Book of Genesis - Chapter 30 - Verse 21

30:21
And afterwards she bare a daughter, and called her name Dinah.

Meaning

When Leah gave birth to a daughter and named her Dinah, it marked another significant event in the biblical narrative. Dinah's birth is mentioned in the book of Genesis as part of the story of Jacob and his wives. The name Dinah means "judged" or "vindicated" in Hebrew, which could possibly foreshadow events to come in her life. Dinah's story is later recounted in the Bible, where she becomes the victim of a violent assault. This event ultimately leads to repercussions for her family and sets off a chain of events that shape the course of their lives. By naming her daughter Dinah, Leah may have unknowingly contributed to the unfolding of God's plan for the future of her family. Each birth and naming in the Bible carries symbolic weight, and Dinah's story serves as a reminder of the complex relationships and consequences that result from human actions and divine intervention.
