Book of Hebrews - Chapter 10 - Verse 25

10:25
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Meaning

This verse emphasizes the importance of believers coming together regularly for fellowship and encouragement. By assembling together, believers can build each other up, offer mutual support, and strengthen their faith. The phrase "as the manner of some is" suggests that even in biblical times, there were individuals who neglected meeting with other believers. However, the verse urges believers to continue gathering together, especially as they await the return of Christ. As the day of His return approaches, the need for believers to gather for worship, prayer, and fellowship becomes even more crucial. By exhorting and encouraging one another, believers can spur each other on towards love and good deeds, and remain steadfast in their faith. Therefore, this verse serves as a reminder to prioritize gathering regularly with other believers as a means of growing spiritually and preparing for the coming of the Lord.
