Book of Hebrews - Chapter 3 - Verse 15

3:15
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

Meaning

When we come across the verse "While it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation", we are reminded of the importance of listening to God without hesitation or resistance. The term "provocation" in this context refers to the Israelites' rebellion against God in the wilderness, despite witnessing his miracles and hearing his voice. The verse serves as a warning for us to not follow in the same footsteps as those who hardened their hearts and disobeyed God. Instead, we are encouraged to open our hearts and minds to hear God's voice and follow his will. By doing so, we can avoid the consequences of hardening our hearts and missing out on the blessings and guidance that come from listening to and obeying God.
