7:13
And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;

Meaning

In this verse, the Lord is addressing the people who have repeatedly ignored His calls and teachings. The phrase "I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking" highlights the Lord's persistence in reaching out to His people at every opportunity, even at the earliest hours of the day. Despite His efforts, the people chose not to listen or respond to His call. The Lord's actions demonstrate His love and concern for His people, as He continuously seeks to guide them and lead them on the right path. However, the people's refusal to heed His words shows a lack of faith and obedience, leading to consequences for their actions. This verse serves as a reminder of the importance of actively listening to and obeying the teachings of the Lord, as well as the consequences that may follow when His guidance is ignored.
