Meaning
When Jesus spoke these words to Nicodemus, he was emphasizing the importance of spiritual rebirth in order to enter the kingdom of God. By being "born again," a person undergoes a profound transformation in their inner being, allowing them to see, understand, and experience the things of God in a new way. This rebirth signifies a spiritual awakening and a turning away from a life focused on the flesh and worldly desires. It involves a surrendering to God, a cleansing of sin, and a renewal of the mind and heart. Without this spiritual rebirth, one remains blinded to the truths and realities of the kingdom of God.
