Book of John - Chapter 4 - Verse 3

4:3
He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.

Meaning

After his ministry in Judaea, Jesus departed once again into Galilee. This movement was a significant shift in his ministry as Galilee was his hometown and where he performed many of his miracles. Jesus's return to Galilee marked a continuation of his teachings and miracles, as well as a fulfillment of prophecy. The region of Galilee was known for being more receptive to Jesus's message, as compared to the religious leaders in Judaea who often opposed him. By returning to Galilee, Jesus was able to reach more people with his message of love, forgiveness, and salvation. This movement also emphasizes the importance of spreading the gospel to all regions, as Jesus's ministry was not limited to one place. Overall, this verse highlights the strategic approach that Jesus took in spreading his message and fulfilling his purpose on earth.
