Book of John - Chapter 6 - Verse 66

6:66
From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

Meaning

When many of Jesus' disciples heard his teachings regarding his body and blood being the true source of life, they were unable to understand or accept this difficult concept. This caused them to turn away from following Jesus and no longer walk with him. This verse serves as a reminder of the challenges and sacrifices that come with being a true follower of Jesus. It highlights the importance of having faith and trust in Jesus, even when his teachings may be hard to comprehend. It also illustrates the reality that not everyone who initially follows Jesus will continue to do so when faced with adversity or difficult truths. Despite the disappointment Jesus may have felt at losing some of his disciples, he ultimately prioritized staying true to his mission and fulfilling the will of God.
