Book of Leviticus - Chapter 17 - Verse 4

17:4
And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people:

Meaning

In this verse, the offering of blood outside the tabernacle of the congregation is seen as a serious offense in the eyes of the Lord. By not following the prescribed process of bringing an offering to the door of the tabernacle for worship, the individual is disregarding the sanctity and significance of the tabernacle as the designated place for offering sacrifices to the Lord. The act of shedding blood outside of the proper place of worship symbolizes a disrespect for God's ordained order and authority. As a result, the person who commits this offense is to be held accountable for shedding blood and is to be cut off from their community. This harsh penalty serves as a reminder of the importance of honoring God's instructions and worshiping Him in a manner that reflects reverence and obedience. It also highlights the value of upholding the sanctity of the tabernacle as a sacred place of worship and communion with the Lord.
