Book of Leviticus - Chapter 8 - Verse 32

8:32
And that which remaineth of the flesh and of the bread shall ye burn with fire.

Meaning

According to this verse, any remaining flesh and bread that is not eaten during a sacrifice should be burned with fire. This practice is rooted in ancient religious rituals where offerings were often made to deities or as a form of worship. In the context of the Bible, burning the leftovers symbolizes complete dedication and surrender to God. By burning these remains, it signifies a total commitment to the divine and a willingness to give up everything for the sake of faith. This act of burning also serves as a way to purify and sanctify the offering, removing any remnants that could potentially defile the sacred act. Overall, this verse highlights the importance of giving wholeheartedly and completely in one's worship, showing reverence and devotion to the Lord.
