Book of Luke - Chapter 10 - Verse 10

10:10
But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,

Meaning

When Jesus instructs his disciples to go out into a city that does not receive them, it is a reminder that not everyone will accept the message of the Gospel. It is a call to perseverance and resilience in the face of rejection and opposition. The disciples are urged to continue spreading the word of God, even if they encounter resistance. By going out into the streets of the city and proclaiming the message, the disciples are demonstrating their commitment to sharing the good news with all people, regardless of whether they are accepted or rejected. This verse serves as a lesson in evangelism, emphasizing the importance of persistence and faithfulness in spreading the teachings of Jesus. It also shows that rejection is not a reason to give up, but rather an opportunity to continue sowing seeds of faith and planting the word of God in the hearts of those who are willing to listen.
