Book of Matthew - Chapter 13 - Verse 34

13:34
All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:

Meaning

When Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables, he used simple, relatable stories to convey deeper spiritual truths. Parables are earthly stories with heavenly meanings, and they were an effective teaching tool that Jesus used to help people understand complex concepts about the kingdom of God. By using parables, Jesus made his teachings more accessible and engaging to the diverse crowds that followed him. He used everyday examples like farming, fishing, and family relationships to illustrate profound spiritual truths about love, forgiveness, and salvation. The use of parables also allowed Jesus to reach a wider audience, as they were easier to remember and share with others. In essence, Jesus used parables as a way to connect with people on a personal level and to reveal divine truths in a way that everyone could understand.
