Book of Psalms - Chapter 125 - Verse 1

125:1
A Song of degrees. They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

Meaning

When the Psalmist says "They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever," he is drawing a powerful analogy between the unshakable nature of Mount Zion and the eternal security that comes from placing our trust in the Lord. Mount Zion, a prominent hill in Jerusalem, was known for its strength and stability. In the same way, those who put their trust in God are promised a firm foundation that will never be shaken. This verse serves as a reminder that when we rely on God and have faith in His promises, we can rest assured in His unchanging and everlasting presence in our lives. Just as Mount Zion has stood the test of time, so too will those who trust in the Lord stand firm through any trial or challenge that comes their way. This verse encourages believers to place their ultimate trust in God, knowing that He will sustain them and keep them secure for all eternity.
